- I recently purchased a Sportster Vi V.34 modem. However, I could
- not connect to my ISP which is using AT&T 14.4 Dataport running
- under linux. It can dial but after it would try to handshake with
- the AT&T, the comm program would send out "No Carrier" message.
- Even though I'm using it on a PC with an older serial card, it's
- supposed to just adjust to the speed to it. I've tested calling
- using different speed from 19.2 down to 4800 but still no connection.
-
- I've tested my Sportster by calling another sportster, and everthing
- seemed to have connected, and vice-versa.
-
- Post your reply here or email me privately. I'm rather desperate.
